Electric Underfloor Heating

Electric Underfloor Heating

Underfloor Heating is one of the most cost effective ways to heat your home. It can be installed under all kinds of floor coverings: ceramic, tiles, natural stones, wooden planks. Underfloor Heating is suitable for every room in your house: in a bathroom or a kitchen, but also in a living room, a hallway or in bedrooms.

In an electric underfloor heating system, a series of electrical wires or heating mats are installed beneath your flooring. Electric underfloor heating systems vary in terms of wattage, from around 100w to 200w per square meter. The heating wires are then connected to your main supply and it will also include a sensor to help regulate the temperature. You can use a thermostat to control the temperature and pre-set the system to turn on or off. Electrical system runs at approximately 25°c -32°c on average.

Good things about underfloor heating system:

  • Comfort! You can walk around barefoot all year.
  • It distributes heat evenly and consistently around each room.
  • A suitably sized unit can heat a larger area than an individual radiator, and works at a lower temperature, so it could reduce your heating bills.
  • Less wattage.
  • Its hidden- so it doesn't spoil your decor or take up space with bulky radiators.
